Careers
Working here means working around fruit at a scale that surprises people. More than a million pounds of it comes through the Fruit Castle in a year, most of it frozen, and a fair amount of any given day is the unglamorous half of that sentence. The reward is that the beer at the end tastes like the thing on the label, which is rarer in this industry than it ought to be.
We hire for attention more than for résumé. Somebody once sat down and counted the berries in a can of Gadget, and that is roughly the disposition.
